I recently learned how to change the drive speed from 40X to 4X but i somehow lost the setting when i restarted my computer. I have a Sony burner and Nero 7 and i was hoping someone could tell me how to change it! Thanks!

Have you checked the guides at nero?
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/User_Guides.html
It depends on what part of Nero 7 you are using but after you get your movie or CD ready to burn, you will come to a burn page. That is where it has a pull down option for changing the burn speed, and will display the default setting. For DVD burning 4x should be tops, and most suggest 24x max for CD burning. Check out the guides. If you have adobe, they come in PDF format.
I would post a screen shot, but dont have the time to do it right now.
