is copying a ps2 game the exact same process as burning a movie. using decrypter to burn to an iso then to a disk? Is there any other hardware or software needed for gameplay of the copy?

yes you need a mod to play either swap magic (a set of disks that you spaw with your back up)

or a mod chip (make ps2 work as i would with an orginal)

No Dvds that are movies are alot easier to copy as the Dvd player will just read the disc no modding no swap disc. Ps2 however requires a "Boot code" to play backups. I live in missouri so my local used game store sold me swap magic 3.6 for about $25 dollars with the tool included, of course i dont use the tool because i bought a clear flip top cover case for about $20 dollars but if you dont know what you are doing do not buy the modded case stick to the original. Hope this helps.
