Hi all,

every timr i start nero i get an upgrade nero onlune shortcut on
my desktop. If i delete or move it next time i start it i get
another one. How do i stop this please?

there might be something in the options on the program ... however i dont see why it would be nessasary to upgrade it with online downloads .. i mean .. does it write your disks?.. does it do a good job? if soo then dont fix it if it ant broke id say .. itd be different if it were virus protection or something like that ..
id say just delete it of the desktop.. im sure theres a way to make it to where it dont come up at all but i dont think its worth the time ... try all the options of Nero if you really want it gone. maybe in the advanced settings .. hope that helps later bud....

Thanks for the reply, Sorry for the typos in my first post. What happens
is that a desktop shortcut appears every time i start Nero startsmart.
This shortcut takes me to neros website and offers a discount on an
upgrade to Nero 7. I dont want to buy this product, but if i delete
the shortcut from the desk top it reappears the next time i start Nero.
I have looked in every setting and cannot find how to stop this. Its
doing my head in!!!!

lol .. sounds like you got probs bud . i dont use Nero so i dont know .. all i know is that if a program pisses me off enough .. i delete it .. i dont care what it is .. i delete it .. Nero.. isint there another program that comes with windows that does the same thing ?... you are talking about the burning program ? right ?...
i take it you dont have the disk for this either ehh .. sounds like its gonna hound you till you upgrade for some reason .. try deleting all your cookies and internet files and history .. could be something to do with that due to the fact that if you didint ever have internet .. Nero would belive that it was the latest version ..
and wouldint access the internet ... i would delete all offline content as well .. that might help .. try it .. im sure it wasent doing this when you first got the machine right?.... tell me if that works bud .. later
