Hello. i am very new to bitlord, have just transferd from bearshare to bitlord, am experiencing a slow download rate. any help with this in noob language is appreciated.
Xp with sp2, VET antivirus installed
Bitlord 1.1 states when downloading the following:
771MB in size
7 seeds, 25 peers
(7/46)all
U/D ratio: 1.2
health: 1463%
summery states:
connected peers 22(max peers 25)
conecting peers: varies between 10-30
download rate 7kb/s from 9 peers
upload rate: 4kb/s to 5 peers
average download rate: 6kb/s within 04:42:48
and my log states:xp status: cannot find working ics
my general steeings are
global max download rate: 65kb/s
global max upload rate: 28kb/s
with portforward.com guides i have opened router ports with seveal different listening port numbers which made no change, with all my accessible firewalls down or accepting bitlord, and its port number, have closed again and are all set to normal again, have kept static ip, but have been informed that there is no need for port forwarding to get better speed. is this right?
With bearshare i had the same dload rate as now with bitlord, but would love to scrap the bear. With using bearshare, i was told that it was because i was tcp and upd firewalled, which i had windows fwall off and ports open. Have contacted isp, and am not blocked in anyway but could give me no info towards my prob as they did not support or condone port forwarding.
please if you know any thing i have wrong or have missed please advise me, i am very new to the torrent side of p2p sharing. replys in simple terms would be a great help too. thank you for your time with reading this, and if you require any more info please state and ill do all i can. Thank you again. Macey
