well i figured id kick off a thread like this .. yall probably already had one but i at least have a question to kick things off.
its about FF8 .. towards the end of the game when your in ultimecias...(or however you spell its) castle .. theres a room thats full of paintings which are all labeled with something different ..(youll have to exscuse my vageness..i havent played it in a while and my game is too scrached up to play . to confirm ) .
theres a place on the wall where it tells a story or something and lets you pick out which five or six paintings go there .. i belive it must be in order .ive tryed for hours upon hours ..days accually to figure it out ..(its been years by the way) i had already beaten the game when i did this and finally gave in to buying the stratagy guide to get past it and finnally have everything .. when i got home and read up on it .. the strategy guide sayed that .. that room is a mystery .. they did not have the answer to the riddle they sayed that it was put on the game from sony in japan (or some sh!t) and they were never given the answer to the riddle .. or what it does for that matter ..
i was hoping someone here might know the answer and what it does ..
if you know the answer plz tell me .. its the only imponderble i have with any of the final fantasys to this day it is the only thing i cant figure out . . as for other ffs .. if you have a queastion .. shoot im all ears and can 99.999% of time answer it . or just give any comments i dont care ..lol have a good one ...

yeah ive tryed faqs and such but no avail .. it has to work some how .. you guys remember the room right ?... there has to be someone who knows .. i mean if there litterally isint anyone who knows .even square of america... then its got to be worth at least some free merchindice right? someones got to know .. if your ever playing ff8 again .. check it out .. who knows .. you might get it .. then the mystery will be solved ... i think it might take you somewhere where the developers dont want you to go ... maybe the developers room .. possibly .. or to the world with all the towns still accessable or something .. that did kinda piss me off about not being able to go into any of the citys after disk 3 ... i dont know .. but i know there has to be a way and its master final fantasy players like us that can find it . laters ... :}

Here ya go:
Quote:
You should be in the Art Gallery now. First, take a
look at each of the 4 paintings on the 1st floor of the
Gallery (ignore the largest one to the left), then climb
the steps to the right. View the other 8 paintings on the
2nd Floor (there's a 'Shell' Draw Point here, btw). Btw,
it's imperative you examine ALL 12 paintings. Here are
their titles:

Ignus (Fire) Inandantia (Flood)
Iudicium (Judgement) Intervigilium (Sleep)
Vigil (Watchman) Vividarium (Garden)
Viator (Messenger) Venus (Love)
Xiphias (Swordfish) Xerampelinae (Red Clothes)
Xystus (Tree-lined Road) Inaudax (Cowardice)

Now return to the large painting to the left on the 1st
floor, the one which I told you to ignore previously.
Examine it and enter 'Vividarium', 'Intervigilium' and
'Viator', in that order. Trauma should appear now.

To solve the puzzle... try going up to the 2nd floor of
the Art Gallery. You'll see a clock painted onto the
floor below; take note of the numbers the hands point to:
VIII, IIII, VI. The 'V' indicates you should select only
titles beginning with 'V', while the following 'I's give
you the exact number of 'I's in each correct title.

So 'VIII' would represent 'VIvIdarIum', 'IIII' would
represent 'IntervIgIlIum' and 'VI' represents 'VIator'.
These are read in the order of hour, minute and second.
