I was just wondering, im trying to label my back up copy of PS2 games. Im using Alcohol 120, and it seams like all of the EA sports games cant have labels on them. Is anybody out there aware of this? And can you tell me why they dont work and if theres a way i can. thank you very much

Are you saying that you can't change the name of the disc before making the image of the game on your hard drive?

No lol, i buy labels to put on top of the burned copied ps2 games, ( its basicly a sticker) and after i do that, all of the E A sports games dont work. Do you know if the Label screwes something up with the disk reading?
but hey, thanks for the quick reply,

DONT USE LABELS! Labels usually set off the weight of the DVD, and puts extra pressure on the laser which in turn might not read the game. Just stick with the old sharpie. Or buy Printable media, so you can print DIRECTLY to the disc (need a compatible printer)

Have you used labels on any other games? And if you have u should stop, and use a sharpie. Its your choice. For other games, if Labels work well for you, you can stick with them. But i honestly recommend a sharpie.

Hope this helped

Another method you could try which is what I do myself is use light scribe to burn the image on the DVD professionaly. You must have a burner with light scribe technology. I bought mine for $190 dollars but most of my friends have bought there's for $100 dollars and they are good high quality burners that burn every kind of media. The other problem that goes along with this is the light scribe needs a special kind of disc to make the laser burn the image on to the top of the disc. Otherwise if you dont want to spend the money use the sharpie works the best and cost less that $1 ha ha

ok not only do the stickers add weight and screw up your lens... if your using swapmagic it can actually cause hte game to not run, because if you cant put the sticker on 100% (most people get it 80-95% on) the sticker might touch the stopper and cause the game to stop working (it used to happen to me).

Version 14 Slim SCPH75001, Swapmagic 3.6 Magickeys

Hey sorry I couldn't reply sooner. Actually I've put some labels on my backups and they work 100% for me. I use the CD Stomper that I got a long time ago and every game I've put the label on works. Of course, I make sure that the label is on all the way. Back before I got a modchip I used Swap Maic with my backups with labels and they worked too. Although I haven't put any on lately after reading about the extra weight it puts on the disc, so its up to you man!
