ok have hard drive that i tried to put in a pc .and it says disk error please enter sytem disk and hit enter. is the hard drive junk ???????? .or do i have the jumpers set wrong .i have it set to master .i dont even know what operating system is on it. i wonder if it is shot???????/

if its saying that there probably isnt an operating system on it.

also if youve taken it out of another machine its not going to boot in your pc because everything is different.

put the hd in as a slave and see whats on it..

thats what idve done well before i tried booting from it

thankx for reply i tried it as slave the first time i put it in.i found a windows folder .but dont know what it is. i guess there is no way to boot from this??? i know xp records your hardware.but i wonder if others do the same?????/
