have an amd athlon 2400+ its a 2.0 ghz in my compaq works great........i wonder if i have that auto shutoff feature . how do i find out.they say amd runs real hot ??????? i wonder what manufacture the board is also .it looks to me to be an atx but cant figure the man.

obviously that overclocked... its a low power processor so it probably not going to cause to much heat issues. theres usually a hardware monitor in the bios that tells you the temperature you processors running at - even if theres no manufacturer name on your mobo there should still be a model number somewhere sometimes on the bios chip if its not printed onto the circuit board.

if you find the model number just whak it in google images and look for the one that matches your board.
