I can see where u r comin from, i dont play as many PS2 games as i use to cos i just get bored of a game after a few days etc. Just try and buy a decent game that u like. I got Battlefield 2 : MC the other day and TBH i can't stop playing it. Its a really fun game to play especially if u have online.
If u dont have online then get it, it will add more replayability to any game!!

I hope you still remember my name. As your age, I dont think you still have good sharp eyes to play video games. And you even retired 4 years ago. I suggest you should keep your retiring from video games. If you get bored, you should help people to fix their computers instead of playing games. That is very greatful.
Well, as your question "Can someone convice me?", I will input my suggestion. Here are what you need:
-a 37" HDTV or bigger for your eyes.
-a game sofa/chair/seat for your back.
-a boardband internet.
-online games like Halo, PGR2, etc...
-1 special very special game Dead Or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2.
I know you will quickly get bored of RPGs or non online games. That is why I suggest online games like Halo, PGR2. YOu will have fun If you can kill someone online. I hope you dont get killed all the time. LOL.

i think you just need to find a game that holds your interest.
I have quite a few that are good but i never play because they
just don't keep me into the game. And that will all depend on what you like to play.
here are some that i just couln't stop playing until i finished them. And others that are just real good and fun to play.
Any of the GTA series fro 3 to San Andreas. had to finish
Any one of the Medal Of Honor series. had to finish
The Prince Of Pursia Series
Half-Life (a Halo type game, but it was first and it was better) had to finish
MX VS ATV and MX VS ATV Unleashed. Different every time you play it.
The Gran Tourismo series if you like driving games that are realistic
Need For Speed Underground series for driving games that are not realistic, but have great graphics and stuff that make it very fun.had to finish
Splinter Cell series if you like the military stealth thing
Psi-Ops and Killswitch are 2 really good, but little known fps games
i do not play nearly as much as i use to, about 1-2 times a week at most. but i doubt i will give up my systems.

What, I suggest is you get Metal Gear Solid 3, Nearly made me cry, god damn great good game. Firstly, you should get your PS2 Chiped/swap magic, than you'll be able to play back ups and let your original's not sctratch and make them more "valuabley tradable". Than you complete it, and get Smackdown! vs Raw 2006, and kick some ass lol. HEll of a great game, thats my view! :D, besides the ps3 is coming soon, buy that
PS2 Slimline + Swap Magic + Fan
PS3 60gb Version 1.90
PSP 3.52 M33 EUR Black Version + Logitech Hard Case + Logitech 3 Sound Speakers + 2gb Sony Memory Stick
Nintendo Wii + 3 Wii&Nunchuck Controllers
NDS Original + M3 Simply + 1gb Kingston MicroSD
NDS Lite + M3 Simply + 2gb Sandisk MicroSD

if you have PS2 there is only Half-Life, which is a great game.
If you have a good PC or Xbox there is Half-Life 2
also a great game. In my humble opinion they are 2 of the best games ever made for any system.
And since it was winning game of the year awards, years after it was originally released, then i guess others would agree with me.
