reply to person above me: the phone only has like 1.1mb free when u get it stock, if ure planning on putting midis it's definitely worth getting the usb but for mp3s unless they are tiny, u won't fit any on the phone since most mp3s are 2-4mb

Hi everyone - I am totally struggling with this. I unzipped the 123 and 216 files and launched the .exe files in both. Then when I try to install the BVRP 221 uppgrade it tells me it needs a .bin file from a CD and it won't let me go any further. What do I need to do here? thanks in advance!

Mattjazz, I'm no pro but try this: go to set up new phone and when it doesnt immediately recognize it as a v220, a "select device" page should come up go to 'new' or 'add' or whatever.

matrax, nothing like that happened to me, my guess is just try reinstalling everything. I don't think you need 216, so if its not useful all it can do is cause problems so I wouldnt even bother installing it. If nothing else works try downloading it again(solved most of my problems)

My problem, everything is working, my phones detected and it initializes but the 'reception disbabled' and transmission disabled' signs wont go away so basically I can't do anything, do I need good recepeption or to activate something on the phone or computer? any ideas would help, thanks.

bv220...mine was working fine then suddenly out of nowhere i got that little icon w/ the phone and a red slash through it, dunno if that's what u mean
but i tried unplugging it from comp and from cable neither worked....eventually i unplugged it, rebooted the phone then plugged it back in and all was well...try that

according to someone earlier u need to have service for it to work, so if u have no signal it can't check service therefore won't work...that's just a guess

i'd still like to know if u could copy over games...

Every time I try to install the first version of the software (mobile PhoneTools), right after it actually installs everything it gives me an error that says:

"DLL Function Call Crash: PbkInstall._GetBookNames

Setup will now terminate"

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to correct it?

The odd thing is, if I do not click OK to terminate the setup, I can actually go into my start menu and USE the program, however, I cannot update to the new version because the install sheild is still running for the first program. Then when I click OK to terminate setup, it completly gets rid of everything.

Any help here would be awesome, thanks in advance.

Ok, I am now getting so frustrated. I have unloaded and reloaded the programs three times. I am able to get the update (2.21e) that has the v220, I have the computer recognize it, but not the software. On the screen of the phone on the computer I get initializing and then thereis an icon that shows a phone with a red circle with a red line through it. AARRRGGGGG. Someone help please. e-mail me here or personally. I am getting despirate. I even removed my service pack 2 to see if that would work, and I am stuck at the same problem

About ready to put my foot through something. God I hope it doesn't hurt

I'm not sure what's wrong. I didn't download or install anything that specifically said P2K driver, only the files in one of my previous posts. I use Windows XP with service pak 2 and haven't had any problems at all. But I did exactly what I indicated in one of the previous e-mails, so perhaps follow that exactly unless you already have. Sorry I can't help.

The problem is occuring because we have outlook 2003. However there is a way to solve it :]
When the error pops up press CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up task manager, then end task the setup. This stops the setup uninstalling the app and removing the registry settings. Now run the update. Ta-Da

Once you run the program go to setup and live update to get an even newer version.

Larsenio, the link I posted earlier was to a sellar on Ebay that I purchased latest(Ver3.7) tools from. She doesn't have just the tools cd available as of now,but at 13.99 for cable and cd it would be worth losing the grief with all this installing & updating stuff. Also once Tools are installed if you browse the cd,extra games, wallpaper, etc is included with the tools to install.

Ok... I've read a bunch of steps and tried a few times here for a V300. Does that make a big diff? I heard in many forums that the software is the same.

I've tried to get the Mobile Phone Tools 1.23c from motoclub and get this message "You don't have permission to access /gsm_sec2/dmdocuments/mmpt_1.23c_EN.zip on this server"

So right there I have a prob... any other sources? And if sum1 would be as kind as to list the steps, with valid URL's I'd really appreciate it.

I found lots of info in this thread but nothing has yet to work for me. Any and all help would be useful. Also if anyone has the setup files of what I need to download and would be willing to send it to me directly via aim or msn I'd really appreciate it.

Hey! Absolutely Amazing! Someone on here said to install tools 123 and when you get the stupid error, to go to task manager and end the program. Then I went back and installed the 221 update and voila!!! My phone popped on the screen and I have been busy editing everything!! I don't know who posted this because I can't find it. But thank you so much!!!
