The laser... hmm my PS2 is about 3 years old lol but i dont think it would be that. Because many people are having the same problem as me! lol yeah but i dunno ill d what i can =) thanks

yea it says to rename the garbage files.........which ones are the garbage files?......i don't know......can someone tell me exactly how to rebuild fifa 2006.......i have......dvd decryptor....nero......magicISO....
so plz tell me what i have to do

listen people most of your problems are because of the media you are using or how you burn your games.
ALWAYS use DVD decryptor (gives the least amount of PI and PO errors)
ALWAYS use 8x disks as these work best with PS2's, dont use 16x or 4x, remember to burn at half the maximum burn speed.
ALWAYS use DVD-R disks as these are most compatible with PS2's, only use DVD+R if your burner can booktype them to DVD-rom
ALWAYS use quality media like Taiyo yuden and verbatim. STAY away from imation, memorex and other crap and cheap media
ALWAYS shut down any applications running in the background while burning game.
If you follow these guidelines then your game wont skip, stutter lag or freeze.
If you need to rebuild games which you do, for this partiular game use gnies xpert rebuilder. ITs the easiest way, just click 4 buttons, guides can be found by using the search button at the top.
If your a noob dont use the rebuilding method stated on page 1 or youll get lost lol.
If you follow this you wont get any problems at all.

Raeis...yes it freezes at the loading screen. i kno about media...i have good media....i just need to rebuild the game. i'll try the gnies thing......um......yea...i hope i can find it fa free.

hey i tried searching for a guide to rebuild with gnies but couldn't find one.......one said some stuff about apache 3 and I couldn't really follow. could u give me a link please?...and a link to where i can get gnies?...any help u can give me would be appreciated.

Hi guys, burned it once and it got stuck at loading screen. Burned it again, this time rebuilding it using gnie's tool. It worked! Now i need help getn to make it work online. I no how to do it, but can any1 say if they got it 2 work online? CHeers.

Yes, it works online, same as any other game does if you patch it correctly.

Cool. But i hav burned disc id utility on a cd and used swap magic. After i put in a original online ps2 dvd game, the id it gives me is useless. Its always the same for every game, 00 00 00 00 0C . Wat am i doin wrong? Does the cd version of discidutility only work for CD ps2 games? Plz help.
PS: does the DNAS id for every copy of fifa different?

There are 2 versions of the Disc ID Utility, one for v1-v7 PS2's, the other for v8+ PS2's. I would imagine you're using the wrong one for your model, or aint following the instructions properly.
And the only CD based online games (of which there are probably only 2) are pre-Dna$.

Yay, i got it. I was just doing it wrong. When the disc id utility was in, i was using the slide tool to put the original in. I didnt realise all u had to do was use the eject button. Ty for ur help.
