preordering is not a garentee to have it within the first month. if i dont have all the cash i'll ask my mom to front me, or maybe a friend.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

your only hope is to camp..lol. even if you are the 1st preorderer, if you are the last to the store all the merchendise could be sold out and given to other pre-orderers. just because you preorder does not mean you can slack, especially with such small launch numbers.
i was told if i pay half, my mom will front me the other and i'll pay her over time. anyone else have the cash yet?

if you wanted a place to camp, its the one to go to. go early. if its in a mall. plan the best enterance and fastest way to gamestop using your malls online or in-store map.

I was told by a few stores that, they are waiting for sony to tell them exactly how many PS3's there store will be recieving, then they will start to sell that amount of preorders.

Ok guys do you know how many 360's were released in the usa on day launch? My walmart had 18 consoles. Best buy 30. You can get a good estimate how many per store if you know the usa amount of 360's.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

I'm gonna hang out at a Wal-Mart, get there around noon on the 16th and wait for midnight. Not doing the pre order thing this time around didn't get my 360 until January.

I hope they let me pre-order. Then I'll pre-order and get there as fast as I can, which would be like 12 wal-mart, and like 600 am becuae I live in small town. So prob. not much of line, then run in there to eb and get one there, then go to fye and try to own some nubs there also! 3 ftw!

well thats your first problem....the people at those stores don't know jacksquat. what people should be thinking about is how many 360s launched, and about how many did the stores in my area receive. i can almost promise you that the numbers will be quite similar.
Quote: Karraker also claimed that, while reduced, the US PS3 launch numbers bested those of another next-generation console. "By the end of the year, we will have...more than double what Microsoft sold through of Xbox 360 [in 2005]." He reiterated this sentiment to MTV News. "The supply we have at launch is comparable to what was available for the PlayStation 2, not Xbox 360," said Karraker. "The total allocation for units in North America...is just less than what we had for PS2 and more than Microsoft had for Xbox 360."
Both the PS2's October 2000 launch and the 360's November 2005 debut were plagued by widespread sellouts, long lines, and occasional scuffles at US retailers. Sony estimates it had around 500,000 PS2s available day of launch. By contrast, NPD reported that Microsoft sold around 326,000 units by the end of November 2005. However, the hard-to-find next-gen console moved just another 281,000 units during December, bringing the 2005 total to around 607,000 units--half the number of PS3s Sony believes it will sell this year in North America.
feel free to argue about the overall numbers, but like i said earlier your best bet is to figure out or ask how many units stores got with teh 360. there is also another factor that i haven't seen anyone address, which happens to be location. by location i mean population, density, wealth etc...the gaming shops that have proven to be able to sell units and that are in developing or developed areas, are more than likely going to get MORE units than that of say a gamestop that is out in the sticks....

But then again, the gamestop out in the sticks, won't have as many people around here I doubt many people can afford it. So if the let people pre-order I know I can get one.
