just pay the 75 bucks to vodafone and be done. go to www.vodafone.com.au/unlock (i think.)
it is still cheaper this way

Guys the site ***link and spammer removed***unlocks all the nokia BB5 phones, i have used them so far 3 times, and they are 100%.
My Fido 6300, my vodafone Sony Ericsson w880, and my rogers blackberry 8300.
