I dowmloaded tons of movies from Limewire. Some movies that I have works. I can play it on Quicktime and I can add it to iTunes. On the other hand many others don't work. I can play all the videos I downloaded on my Windows Media Player. I can't play it on Quicktime or add it to iTunes. I already tried converting it with Videora. When I try to play the videos on Quicktime it gives me an error. It is error -37: a bad filename or volume was encountered. I don't get it??? I can't play some videos or even add it on iTunes but I can with a few. Can someoen please help me!!!!

Thanks

For example an mp3 music file has .mp3 on the end of the file name. So you need to look at the file and see what's after the period, or right click on the file and click 'Properties' and it should say 'type of file' either one should be fine.

I went to my files in videos section and right clcked it and looked at tht properties. I checked under type of file, it said Movies. I also went on iTunes and checked the videos that I converted using Videora. I clcked on add files and checked on the properties of one of my already converted file. It said it was a MPEG-4 Movie. That was one of the files that would not update on my iTunes. I also checked one of my video that I did get on iTunes and onto my iPod. It was also MPEG-4 Movie. I don't get it, I can get some videos on and some I can't. Even though they are from the same place I downloaded from and they are both MPEG-4 Movie. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Thanks

Sometimes files won't add to iTunes if the file name is to long. As long as the file is mpeg 4 it should add to iTunes without a problem. If it syncs with your iPod is another story though. Where you downloaded them from shouldn't be a factor as long as you've converted them. So what happens when you try and convert the files with Videora, anything?

When I converted the files with Videora it works fine. After I'm done it goes to the folder where all my other finished converted videos goes. As for the long file name info, I'm gonna go try to fix it.

Thanks

Well, if you look through the threads in this forum, you will notice that I have been consistently posting in forum throughout, and I am used to it. So instead of jumping on the newbies, I set up the guides & the FAQ's etc. I'm not saying you have to make guides, just get over it. ;-)
