Slayers auto installer 2.0???

ok i found this thing called slayers auto install 2.0. it like installs all these apps and everything for you. but the evox dash board and some the programs are older versions. what do i do if i want to update my xobx dash form teh old? is all i do is drag the new evox files except the .ini if i want to keep my same menues and settings? will moving the new evox files update the old in the ftp? or should i not use the slayers aout install and just extract the files and apps i want from it? i mean if all i have to do is move over a new evox file and keep my .ini that would be great but i ahve no clue! so please tell if the slayers thing is worth it
