videos skip after nero encoding

OK here is the prob. After converting avi files to vob files on winavi converter they play fine. The prob is after nero encodes the vob files to burn the video skips or the audio is out of whack. Any suggestions?

have you tried another encoder as that maybe the issue rather than nero
