Hi silverjoe,
Your English is great! (Better than most.)
You must understand that you are burning region-free DVDs. They should play anywhere.
I think the whole 'region' thing is stupid. People in the U.K. cannot buy DVDs from America, etc. Dumb.
Sometimes you have a DVD and you just want to watch it - you are forced to rip it with DVDDecrypter just to remove the Region!
Now how does that help combat piracy?
It is DVDDecrypter that removes RPC and CSS protection from DVDs, not DVDShrink - it only re-authors, and shrinks (if req'd).
Anyway Joe, your LG burner is called 'RPC-II' and you will need this type of region-protected burner in future, to play content-protected source. All burners must be RPC-II to work in Windows Vista.
The region of your burner is used only for DVD playback. Set it to your region (you can change it 4 times) or to whatever kind of store-bought DVD you mostly get.
Regards

I think your best choice for making Region Free backups is Shrink DVD in combination with AnyDVD. Shrink is FREE and AnyDVD costs $40.00.and it is well worth it!!

And a screen shot from ShrinkDVD:

If you get Region1 and then also Region4 DVDs, that's what I'm saying is a needless headache...
If you had an American DVD player (standalone) it would be Region1 - then set your PC DVD to Region4. You've got it covered (still annoying).
Or vice-versa if you have Region4 standalone.
Or mount 2 DVDRoms in your PC, one set to each region...
If you desire or require region-free DVDs you must then create them yourself using DVDDecrypter or other newer rippers.
I typically re-author DVDs to remove all but the feature - you insert the DVD and movie just starts :^) This requires less Shrink compression, or in many cases none.
But if you just want to watch, it's all a pain...
It does seem attractive to have region-free burner, and although there is no future in it maybe you should do it 'for now'!
Burners are inexpensive and you can get the newest thing in another year or two, to meet the requirements of the future when you encounter them.
Wish I could help you with region-free crack, but I have no knowledge...
Anyone? (Bueller?)

Edit: There you go, AnyDVD (discount for AfterDawn Members).
