Can you play ISO images straight off of your hard drive through the media link to an XBOX 360?

but i don't think your able to do either, it would really make alot of sense for M$ to allow that w/ out messing w/ settings.

No, there is no way to play these so called "backups".


EDIT:
Oh, I read the thread incorrectly. You can play only wmv-video on your 360, and it must be streamed through xp media center edition. There's also a way to convert divx/xvid to wmv on fly, so you can stream them directly.

you can also stream mpeg2 files from a pc with win mce. i have converted dvd *.vob files and high-def *.ts files to mpeg2 and have streamed them to the 360 from my mce pc. the 1080i output is pretty good on my infocus fp and samsung dlp.
