Ok, here goes, I have 3 computers that I use to copy DVD's for my personal use, suddenly I have been getting "Disc Error" on my standalone player on DVD's from one of the computers. The other 2 computers and my laptop have no problem copying DVD's so it's not the media, plus it is the same media I have always used, I buy in bulk. I use DVD Decrypter to write DVDs on all computers. I even went as far as changing out the DVD writer, since I keep a stock of writers on hand, same problem. So I'm thinking it must be something to do with the interface, I've tried uninstalling everything, then reinstalling but no go. Any ideas?

@DRGULA
Use a lens cleaner on the player = they can get a little dusty! They can also be picky on what media they play. What media are your buying in bulk?

As I had stated, I replaced the writer with a brand new device and the problem was the same. As for the media, I buy straight from the manufacturer that makes most of the media out there, they just put different names on it for different companies, but that is not a factor anyways since it has worked up until recently on this pc. It has to do with the software, drivers or interface and hoped someone would have a fix so I won't have to redo the whole machine. Thanks for your input though.

you keep saying it's not the media ....... what manufacturer ID is it? Use DVDInfo Pro or DVDIdentifier and give the manufacturer ID please. Here is a media guide that might help you out to know what is good and what is bad: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
some media changes due to where they make it! Verbatim, Sony have different grades of media! The rule that I use is: buy only Made In Japan (MIJ) disks! Can't go wrong there! I'm not saying that the disks made in taiwan are bad.... I just know that the best disks are MIJ! use those disks with your BAD computer and then see if you still have this problem..... then you can say it's not the media

I must agree with IHoe on this: I would certainly try Known Hi-Grade Media before I re-formatted a PC. Sony made in Japan, Fuji made in Japan, or Verbatim are 3 known good ones I can name off hand. Also, you may try defragmenting your hard drive & check that you burner & or reader are in DMA mode, not PIO. Also, be sure the burner's firmware is up to date on the PC in question.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

Maybe I have not been clear on this but I've replaced the burner and I only use high grade media, MCC or TDK. Secondly, all computers are identical, using the same burner, same media. The DVDs that get the error message on the standalone work on any pc and if I copy the bad DVDs using one of the other machines they work fine on the standalone. This is a software or interface problem, something changed on the one pc and I need to figure it out, or it will have to be redone.
