Panasonic SW-9571 and DVD-RAM

I have just bought one of these drives, and am having all sorts of problems with DVD-RAM.

I'm running XP, and have upgraded the drivers from the Panasonic website as guided by many. However, when I format my dual-sided TDK DVD-RAM disks and try to use them, no matter what I burn on one side, I flip it over and it manages to read the same information from the other side.

I am very confused... also, the provided DVD-Form application that is supposed to format the DVD-RAM does not recognise that the DVD-RAM drive is even attached!

Can someone please help!?!

Similar problems. Does anyone know how to contact panasonic and get support on this drive?

I have this drive as well but can only get it to write to DVD-R using EZCD Creator 6, XP says no disc installed and so does smartripper, no drivers tha I have found yet work
