Help with ratDVD and WinDVD7

Hello, I am having trouble getting WinDVD7 to play ratDVD. If I ask WinDVD7 to open up a ratDVD, it does nothing. Do I need to write some code or something to get WinDVD to open these files? If so, what/how would I do that? I tried following the instructions in this link: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/282948 but that didn't work for me. I should also note that ratDVD's play fine for me in WMP. Thanks in advance for any help.
