I apologize if this is a stupid question, or if it has been asked before, since I could not find a topic on this. Is it possible to burn the ISOs/images of playstation games onto DVDs so that it will load better on a ps2?

ok thanks, i appreciate your help... Just one question: If a PSX game was burned onto a CD using Alcohol 120% and had its datatype set to PS2, would that guarantee it to work on PS2?

I already knew about the modchip. I was asking this because the PS2 laser has problems loading PSX games, and was wondering what difference does it make if the CD's datatype was set to PS2?

No it wouldn't because its not the PSX data type its the type of format (CD) which your laser has problems there really is no different between PSX and PS2 CDs when reading other than the PS2 CD has to read faster so it spins faster making your laser work harder anyways.

Some people have older consoles like v4's have problems reading PS2 DVD games some have problems reading PS2/PSX CD games just depends on your laser. People fix this problem by either adjusting the voltage on there DVD reading and CD reading for the white cog next to the laser. There are alot of tutorials.

One last question: When a PSX game is burned onto a CD using Alcohol 120%, does setting the datatype to PS2 mean that it will work on PS2, or is PS2 datatype for CD only used for PS2 CD games and not PSX games?

There is a Play Station data type and a Play Station 2 Data type. I think both are the same cuz that is just burning not changing it like with Lite Scan from Sonix
