Is there a way to tag the actual file iself? Please help, Joe.
(if you can tag the file itself theough a media player, please run me thrugh the itunes version lol)

The best tagging program is called Tag & Rename. It has tons of useful features and is very user friendly. Click here to download = http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm

I dont think you understood. On itunes you can access the Cddb and get TRACK NAMES and the album and the band name etc autiomatically done for you.
However, this only does it as the song is showed on itunes, and the actuayl music file is just named "track 1" etc.
Is there a way of me accessing this database so that the files themselves are all tagged?
Thanks ireland!![afterdawn legend]

@billybob,
Goto this link and download mp3tag http://www.filepedia.com/audio_software/audio_tools/mp3tag.cfm. Works great for finding names of music, artist and even offers a search utility.
Actually tag & rename has the same function as well as weazel200 stated I suggest you try both and choose which is easier for you to work with.

billybob, check out T&R. as weazel mentioned, it is the best tagger there is, and has the option to access the freedB (not cddb...that costs money) to automatically tag albums.

@weazel200 and djscoop,
Quick question since I haven't used t&r for awhile...is it still free or as reading their homepage there is a charge after a trial period?

djscoop, on itune, accessing the cddb is free!
You can do it manually or if you are connected when inserting the disc, it automatically tags them!

@ matt72
Tag & Rename is available on a 30 day free trial. After that you have to buy the program in order to keep using it.

cddb and freedB are the same thing, only programs such as itunes have to pay cddb to access it. freedB is open to the public for anyone to access and modify.

I hate it when some idiot types in the wrong info for an album and you have to edit it yourself. They should double check what someone has submitted and remove it if it's wrong.
