Ok so I softmodded my xbox and meesed it up. So I decided to buy a modchip because I deleted my xbox eeprom.bin. So I reformatted my xbox hdd in fatx partition. So now I am left with a problem. I have a modded xbox but the hdd is empty. So here is my question... will slayers a.i.d. or any a.i.d. run on a modded xbox with an empty hdd? If not then what should I install to the hdd before turining it on and how do I install it? Any thoughts would be a great help. Thanks in advance!

Yes, slayers a.i.d. will format and install dashboard on hdd. YOur empty hdd is ok. YOu just need to boot up xbox with slayers a.i.d. INSIDE the dvd drive. Xbox will read the cd and prompt you options like format hdd, install dashboard, etc... Choose format hdd first, then install dashboard. After that, you can install anything you want.

Thanks for the fast response! Is there anyway I could burn slayers to dvd instead? You indicated putting the "cd" into the drive, so I was just wondering since my xbox has a hard time reading cd-r. Also is Slayer's highly reccommended or is there a better a.i.d. out there? Thank you.

Yes, you can burn it to CD/DVD. If you want to burn into a DVD and slayer.iso is too small < 500MB, you may add a 1GB dummy file. So xbox dvd drive can read the DVD.

ok you should be able to ftp using your mod chip this would be the easyest way to do what you want

I cant ftp to an xbox without an operating system. That is why I asked people to read the entire question. How do I create a dummy file? Nevermind I'll google it. Thatnks for the responses!
