which version of limewire is the safest to use 5.5,4.1,4.10 etc. the other day my friend said he installed limewire (dont know the version) and his norton detected a trojan from the limewire.exe file. I think he said it was called whack a mole trojan. i never heard of it. has anybody here ran into a problem similar to this if so please reply. Thanks in advance to all that reply.

I've never had a problem with any version of Limewire. In my Opinion it is the best. Never any detections of anything after installing it.

LMAO frostwire is made by the limewire team the difference is in the filtering , basicly a lot more crap and false files

If limewire is downloaded from it's home site or cnet there will be no spyware, if you download from who knows where it's pot luck
