Hi there,
At work, we have McAfee (DAT 4697) and SetupAnyDVD5841.exe came up as infected with Generic Dropper.i
http://vil.mcafeesecurity.com/vil/content/v_132897.htm
Symantec Antivirus Corp Edition doesn't detect nothing on it.
Anyone else had this ?
Just curious...
SetupAnyDVD5911.exe comes up clean with both AntiVirus !

I am using the same version of ANYDVD, and I also have Mcafee with DAT 4697, and no problems. Plus, I have ripped/burnt many a DVD with that combo.
Cheers,
Rich
EDIT: I haven't installed the latest ANYDVD yet. I am waiting for the fires to be extinguished.

i haven't got AnyDVD yet, but that sounds like a classic case of false positive, i think all virus scanners have a blip like that from time to time

I think there's a lot of crap, flying about in the last couple of days' or so.
I use NOD32 and it's updated 'bout seven times.. So I reckon there'll be a few anomaly's, about.

I also swear by McAfee, and have been using it for many, many years. I once tried AVG at http://www.grisoft.com/ for a friend who had many virus', and to my surprise AVG could not get rid of any of them, let alone find them all, McAfee cleaned them all up rather nicely.
Just my 2˘,
Rich
