Problem with PS2 DVD backup????HELP#@$%ME

bought a PS2 in Asia. Followed the procedure to make backup using DVD decryptor, changed to several media already per procedure, finally used Sony, but still is having problem with the game not playing after backup. Additionally did a backup of a CD game and that works. So the PS2 must have already been moded right? So why doesn't the DVD work???? Help????

Hmm, maybe the chip is damaged. Or maybe it needs flashed with the latest BIOS. We could probably help a little better if you could tell us what make the chip is. As for the media, I highly reccomend 8 Verbatim DVDs and burn at 4x as this may well be you're problem.

Thanks Mike, I have bought the Sony from BestBuy. Isn't this good enough. I started with cheap one after I check the list, Sony was a recommended as Verbatim. How do I open the PS2 so that I can look at the chip???

Check using this guide above. I reccomend you don't rush it, you don't want to break it when taking it apart!

And watch out for the silver ribbon when taking the case off!
