I am using nerovision express 3 se

I have a movie (DivX codec) with an image size of 640x272 which I am trying to burn to dvd. Everything burns alright, but the aspect ratio is all messed up. It ends up being squished. Nerovision gives options of 4:3 and 16:9 ratios and I have tried both with no success. Help!

It also gives you the Automatic option which is what I would recommend.

I have tried that one as well. No success, unfortunately.

Another thing you could try...

If you were burning into PAL format, switch to burn into NTSC format (or visa versa). See if that helps. Otherwise, you will just have to find a better file.

Reality is an illusion and subject to interpretation.

Have tried both PAL and NTSC (while knowing full well that my system is NTSC) and have had no change.

I am trying to burn a movie (Domino) which plays fine in both Windows Media Player and my DivX player. I just can't seem to figure out how to get it into a DVD format without being vertically squished.

The latest version of Nero6 and Nero7 have been causing problems, which version of Nero are you using. I would uninstall your current version and install one of the following bug free versions.

For 6 install http://httpdl2.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.18.exe

For Nero7, try
http://httpdl6.us.nero.com/software/nero7/Nero-7.0.1.4b_eng_no_yt.exe
