Is there a mod chip that allows you to toggle it using the power and reset buttons??? I swear that I read about this somewhere but I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere. I appreciate all of the help.

yeah, the matrix has 4 modes, one of the modes is a swap mode that allows you to load the original MS bios for your xbox if you plan to go on xbox live

you insert a game disk in the drive, then press egect once it loads, xbox reboots with original bios
