Go to the right hand corner of your post - now click on what looks like a pencil & paper - copy & paste the log in there - just make sure you edit out youyr serial # - begins w/ 1A - usually like 27 or so characters.

As you can tell copying on the fly creates coasters -that's why it's not recommended. The problem is it does it in 'real' time so if there is a glitch in the source disc or read the burn fails. Your drive doesn't have any time to try and read that glitch so it fails. It's best to turn off that option and do like your were. If you unclick the option Nero will just save it to a temp directory then burn and when done delete the temp file.
Your source disc is a -r and the firmware on reader (dvdrom) is a bit behind - lastest is OL23. A firmware update may help this drive read the disc better.

If reader and burner share the same IDE channel, this create a slowing of data flux between reader and burner.

On the fly copy is recommended only if reader and burner are on different IDE channels.

Another possibility if 1:1 copy has failed is because source disc is bigger than destination, so is necessary compression of the movie. Even with big CPU power, this operation is difficult on the fly, because video compression requires many passes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, if you want to burn on the fly, the file should not need compression and should have a prformant burner able to read 2x faster than the burner. Like binkie7,I would advise to copy the files on HDD and then burn the DVD.
