Basic Outline
*best DUNKER gets ball, runs down court (seems like slow motion), stops in the middle of the court to try to crossover, goes for a basic one hand dunk (also very very slowly) (cant be blocked) scores*

Graphics
they are nothing like they show in the previews. they are actually like the pictures on the back. the players look theyre deformed or just came out of the hospital after taking a sledge hammer to the face. after they got out of the hospital they went to the bowling alley to get a large coat of shine of their entier body. they look more cartoonish and look like ugly, grease, troll people.
Shot Block
no one can block anyone in this game. the centers have as much chance to block as the point guards. the players are so slow at moving and even slower going for the block realistic?
Steals
forget about the so called "strip and rip" try it and you ALWAYS get called for the foul. u cant ever get the steal and ALWAYS the foul.

Passing
forget about fast breaks. with slow motion passes the ball hits the ground and rolls to defenders or the best passer in the league (steve nash) passes to the defender. u have to be touching the guy youre going to pass to to get a decent pass. oh, and they added bounce pass, tha fuk? who bounce passes anymore? also the players seem like their need to be in special ed. basketball. they never pass to the open man. u always have to hold R2 to pass. dont make the mistake of trying to think u just have to press the pass button. realistic?
Fouls
there is more fuking charge fouls called than blocking and shooting combined. *goes up, bumps into player (barley touching him), whistle blows. u cant be feel vibration of the collision. all u hear is a stupid whistle thats makes u go wtf? realistic?
Dunking/
every player goes up for the same one-hand, slow motion like, dunk and if theyre in the air then they will make the damn dunk. thats if u can get up for the dunk. u have to be running down court full speed to even try to dunk the ball. *Shaq is 2 feet away from rim, goes up, throws it at the backboard* also when going for a dunk, make sure there is no one in front of u. * runs down court, makes it to the blue circle, goes for the same old one-hand dunk, someone runs in front, the blocker gets knocked down, CHARGE FOUL is called, when was the last time in the NBA a charge was called on a dunk????

Shooting
since the shooting button and layup button are the same ur never sure what the hell your player will do. well the player just does it by himself i guess. *runs up court, goes down the lane, u hit the shot stick, player does any # of retarted lay-up moves that no self-respecting player in the NBA would do, makes the shot over 5 defenders* moves that will make u say "wtf, that sh!t was Nasty" realistic?
Controls
u can never do anything u want to. *try to pass, u cant. press it agian hoping for a quick pass before the defnder comes, the slow motion pass goes right into the defenders arms* alley-opps unstoppable regards lees of whos defending. thats if u can get one off. i guess fuking 2K wanted more control over the game we are playing. the player passing has to be in a certain place , along the 3 line, to go for the alley-oop, and so does the reciever. other wise pressing the alley-opp "buttonS" are worth less, yea there are two. realistic?
Extra
the crossover and the movement button is the same so u never get the crossover when u need it and when u want to go straight u never know when the player will just stop in the middle of the court to try to crossover.
the shot stick has to be the most retarted thing in history. u get on the free throw line and u pull iy back and release at ANY random time and the ball goes in or out. there is no FT %, just go and randomly click the button and it goes in or out. realistic?
FINAL RESULTS
an offensively dominated game where the only thing a defender can do is run in front of the offensive player to get the charge, other than that u cant stop the offense. either learn to score or quit the game.HOW TO WIN. pick a team like L.A. or Golden State and make Kobe or Richardson point guard (since u shouldnt take the risk of passing) have either run down the court, get around the defense in iso or set a pick, and get them near the rim. once they are near the just tap shot stick and 95% of the time it will go in. 3% of the time a Charge will be called. 1.5% of the time a shooting foul will be called. 0.5 % of the time the ball will be blocked (thats only if there is more than one defender there, if its one on one then its over) realistic?
Alternatives
NBA Live 2005 was one of the best basketball games ive ever played, but if 06 is anything like it, Cop That. It was a game where each team and players where good at what they did. Pheonix ended up with alot of fast break points and Miami did their thing on half court. shooters where good at shooting, point guards where good at passes and dribbling, and dunkers dunked the ball. with a defensive presence where a player like Ben Wallace could block shots right in front of him like he is able to do (not get dunked on). Sure, there were some flaws but over all it is/was (havent played 06) the most realistic game ive ever played. The dunks where kind of tacky, but since the dunk is going to go down regardless of how flashy it is, who doesnt like to see something amazing to get them going. Some of the shot blocking was over done a little bit but most of the blocks are realistic and make the game more intersting because youre not able to run down the lane every time. fouls where called like they should be (almost no charge fouls where called on dunks) and steals where avalabile instead of getting called for the foul each time. with better graphics, a little less slideing of the players, and a little less flashy stuff. NBA Live 2005 would be unmachted for about the next century. but for now.

i think people are saying 06 sucks because of all the EA hate but dont lie to the people who just want a great basketball game. i havent played Live 06 so i cant comment on that but it cant be as bad as 2K6.
P.S. are there any good adhesives that dont show up under that clear plastic they use to wrap the ps2 games? i got 2K6 back into its original packageing flawlessly but i need something to seal the top that wouldnt be noticeable. i know regular glue wont work, i dont wanna use super glue cuz it would seep through the plastic and mess up the game, double stick tape shows up and the cashier would see it.
