I couldn't see much. maybe someone else will. but your driver is definetely not at peace with the media you are using. If they are Sony MiJ DVD +R, they should be TYs, great media. But your burner doesn't like it. The firmware looks up to date. You don't have much RAM memory,so don't multitask. If your media is indeed TY and with up to date firmware, you should safely be able to burn @ X4. X2 is a little too low.

It is good media, and it is the same amount of memory that I have had for 2 years with out any problems burning, it just started this about a month ago, It will let me burn cd's and data dvd's with no problems, it is just the movie burning that quit working , maybe my burner is going out, I cannot figure it out, thankyou for repling

To rule out software, try another burning program beside nero, like DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn.

Also, like you said, the drive could be going away. or maybe corrupted firmware? Donno:~(

I do not have a dual layer burner so I have to shrink it first, and when i try to use imgburn or decripter to burn. It can not find the files to burn

When you use DVD Shrink to process, if you want to burn with DVD Decrypter or Imgburn, you have to save the resulting shrinked files as an ISO file. it will be just one iso. is that how you do?

yes, sometimes I use decripter first and that saves it as an iso file then I drag it to shrink and it changes it to VTS, I have never saved it back to iso, I guess I do not know how

okay. When you use Shrink, after you click Bakup, under "Target Device" go to "Select backup target " once there, select "ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter". Do not select Burn with nero Or HDD file.

Did you find it? here's a link for you:

Before you take a hammer and take your drive out, I would try some other media first. maybe there is something else in your log that someone might spot. Try to uninstall the burner, defragment your HDD.
