I have been burning episodes of this series onto dvd's to watch. I use tmpgenc to convert the avi to mpeg. once i got to about the 25th episode, the mpg files would all have corrupt sound right when the end credits were coming on. Episodes 26 and 27 worked ok but episodes 28,29 and 30 have the exact same problem, at the exact same spot. even if i try putting them all together with virtualdub, the sound still goes bad at the end of the first episode and stays bad for everything else after that. Can anyone tell me what is causing this weird recurrence? I would greatly appreciate it.

try striping the sound off the offending eposodes in virtualdub use audio
full proccessing mode and set your compression type to none in interleave
then save wave under file and use this as your audio source in tmpg

ok, I tried this, and it is saying an error prevents it from completing the save, at about the same spot that it does with encoding (towards the end). So it looks like it's a problem with the file itself, even though the group that makes this file is known for there quality work. And i've tried redownloading the file a number of times from different sources. If there are any other suggestions, i'd be pleased to hear them, but it looks like a grim situation.

try this one had a movie the other day crashed near the end found the only program that could handle it was DivXtoDVD you could try using it convert your avis but it will output vobs which you will have to convert back to mpegs if you are puting more than one on the disk
