Socom II & Socom III online?

Is it possible to play Socom II & Socom III for PS2 online? I read different places that it is possible to play a back-up version then others say its not possible? Can someone please help me confirm this?

U will be kicked when u update the game, cus Server will check ur PS2 game disc and ur modchip :/

Well, if its abackup that means you got the original... and shouldnt be a problem... Unless its an illegal back up... not cool...

u can play lan for both of them as a backup and i hear that u can play socom 2 online if u get it PAL or sumthing like that. and for socom 3 u need 2 phantom swap, u need 2 hav an original copy and booit that up and get online then swap it wit the backup when u r at the lobby. The only reason i see someone phantom swapping is if their original is too scratched up 2 load maps and stuff

so I assume we can't play socom III online with 'only' swap disc V3.6?

When I want to play socom III on the internet it stops at the DNAS thing... this is realy focked op, because al my others games work, whats the problem :o?

hey i tried making a copy of socom 3 using image patcher and disc id inserter so i could play it online. it dose not work so i am wondering if some1 could help me out thanx!
