I need some info and burning downloaded ps2 games. Planning on buying them, but dont have the cash at the moment. I downloaded the zipped files for the games, and extracted, but there are no images in the folder, just the games raw data. Now, in order to burn them, what do I need to do? I was guessing that I should create an iso from the files and folders provided in the downloaded file, but im really not sure. I do have alchohol 120 and a dvd burner. I also just ordered the swap magic discs with tools. so what do I need to do to make playable discs. I can post a pic of the files in necessary.

once the download is done, I get a folder full of zip files. I extract the first and the all extract together into another, combined zip file, I then extract that one and I get a folder with these files.

from there, I dont know what to do. That is where im guessing I need to use these to create an image file and burn.

I havent tried it cause since I dont have the swap disc yet, it wouldnt be worth it as I wouldnt even be able to know if it was successfull. So while I wait for the swap disc to come in, I want to find the correct method(s) to do it, that way I dont waste time and discs .

That "combined zip file" is probably the iso you have to burn. Once you get all those files in the pic you posted, you went too far.

I had seen that thread before, but not the link to the tool on the bottom. The tool unfortunately didnt work for my situation and the same goes for the first link to the other thread. I start out with rar files labeled 1 through 32, I extract the very first into its own folder, and within that folder, I get a single rar file. Its labeled as a rar file, but is there any chance that its an image under a different extention? Once I extract that one, I get all the data files from the image I provided.

That is most likely your iso file. WinRAR is associated with iso files, thats why its got the same icon as a rar file.

what should I do when the files are like this. Since there are 2 different types, what program will do it all together?

blacking out the filenames made your pic pretty much worthless (and i can see no reason why you would do it). All i can say is open 1 of them and you should be able to extract an iso.

the problem I have is that the first 30 files are rar archives, and the last 8 or so are in a different format, and the extention is .r31 to .r38 Should I just rename the extention or is there a program takes care of it all.

Right-click and open with.. choose WinRAR and tick the box to associate them with WinRAR.

Just extract the first part, and it will follow on itself into an image file, then burn it with Alcohol/DVD Decrypter/ImgBurn.

what is a good program for burning bin and cue files, and when burning them, is there anything special that needs to be done?

Use Alcohol 120% and load the cue file. It will lead to the bin file automatically. Then click next, then choose the "Playstation 2" profile at the bottom left.

jeez.. install WinRAR - http://www.winrarlabs.com

Then associate them with WINRAR

Then extract them to get the iso/bin/cue file. Then burn with ImgBurn to burn the ISO. Or Alcohol 120% if it is bin/cue to burn to CD (bin/cue files must go on CD.)

as far as burning bin files with alchohol, what if my version does not give me the playstation 2 option? I have had that before, but I dont know what happened to it cause I wiped out my pc a while back. the version I have now gives the the variety of dao, sao, and raw options.
