Hello..This is my first posting here ever and I'll try to be as clear and concise as I can. I have a few avi files that I want to put on DVD-Rs. I am just starting to get used to the whole conversion process and I can usually find answers in the forum, but the problem that I am having at the moment is that whenever I convert 16:9 avi files using TMPGEnc, they don't stay 16:9 and they seem to be 4:3 mode. It is still watchable but everything looks a little skinnier and longer and so on. I've tried messing around with different setting and so far...no success. Also, I want to keep the mpg files small enough where I can put more than one episode of TV shows. There must be a way to adjust this so that when I play the finished mpg file, it would be in 16:9 mode. Hope all that makes sense. Thanks for your help in advance.

J

Try this. In Wizard( Page 3-Other Settings) or under settings on Main Screen > Advanced > Video Arrange Method - select Full screen (keep aspect ratio). I encoded as 16.9 because the letterboxing was smaller but not sure on 4.3 or 16.9.

Just noticed your second question. Just adjust the bitrate settings to what you need for multiple videos on one dvd for audio and video on Page 4 of the wizard or on settings on Main Page. Here are a couple of guides that may be of value to you: http://dvd-hq.info/Compression.html and http://www.dvdhelp.us/tutorials.html
