PSX Burning Problem

I recently purchased swap magic 3.6, and i havea similar thing to swap magic for my PSX called PSX-Change. My mate sent me a file BIN file of Dragonball Z Legends which is a japanese game, i burnt it correctly etc. I played it through PSX-Change on my PS1, it worked perfectly but the problem is that it was in black and white. Is there a way to resolve this issue, because im worried that if i start backing up games for my PS2, they may end up in black and white. Is there a way to sort this out?

you probably need to patch the the game from NTSC to PAL or vica versa
