for some reason I suddenly started having problems with my 360 headphones, my mic works fine but my headphone doesnt work at all ( nothing to do with the settings on the console, I already checked) when I push the wire in toward the part where it connects to the controller it connects but hardly, Ive taken it apart and all the solder points are intact, so I believe its a break in the wire itself, so what I would like to know is , is there a way I could replace the entire wire between the connection point to the controller and the headset with a better quality wire, and if thats possible could someone provide me with instructions on how to replace it, thanks

I would just run to your local wal-mart and buy a new headset.
Better to have that than a jimmy-rigged busted one.

I dont want to do that cause for one thing I already spent $40CAD on them and I dont want to do that again cause they are only worth $5, they're like airplane headphones with xbox 360 printed on them, Id rather improve the wire on the ones I have, like I said the input is good and the headphones work, the flaw is in the wire itself do to its cheap design, so please if you know I how could replace the wire I would appreciate your help if not dont bother leaving a response, thanks again
