After using DVDFabDecrypter how do you tell if VOBBlanker is needed or not on the movie. I use DVDFabDecrypter and then DVDshrink. Is there a guide on using VOBBlanker and when it should be used. HELP!

I rip with DVD Decrypter, and as it rips you can see right there how long the movie is. I've never used fab, so I don't know if it shows that. Anyway, if the total disc is 8gb and you can see that the movie is only 5.4gb you've got some stuff in there that can be blanked to save room. You could use Shrink to do this, but even using still image the size can be large, while vobblanker reduces it to basically nothing.
At this point use vobblanker to blank out the bits that need to go like fullscreen version of the film, or extras and trailers. This will create a new video_ts for you to then use Shrink on for final compression and then burning.

It can't hurt to use it - doesn't take that long at all - plus as Jigen pointed out it's better at reducing the size of things you don't want as opposed to shrink's still image/pic.
The way to tell if it's needed - if you try to process the files thru shrink ripped by dvdfab decrypter - error received then vobblanker is needed.
