Problems with Nero? Help!

I am trying to make backup DVDs using DVD2one and Nero. Every time I attempt to burn a DVD, I get an error message stating

"No seek complete" "Could not perform end of Disc-At-Once", at the very end of the process. After ruining two DVDs, I tried using the Test Only (no burn) functionality. I get an error message every time.

I am using DVD2one to compress a DVD > 4.7 GB and have a Sony DRU500AX drive. My computer hardware is more than adequate for the job.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

What version of Nero r u currently using ?

Also you haven't mentioned what software used to Rip/Unencrypt with before using DVD2One...Smartripper or DVD Decrypter perhaps?

First, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. The version of Nero ROM I am using is 5.5.10.20. I am using DVD Decrypter to Rip tracks prior to processing with DVD2one. I hope this helps. Thanks again!

Have you made a successful burn of a DVD-R to date yet ?
(As I'm wondering if someting has gone wrong or is wrong...if you get my drift).

I use this method & have backed up 70+ DVD-R (so far)
SMARTRIPPER 2.41
DVD2One v.1.1.1 (if needed)
Nero 5.5.9.9.
(UDF/IFO Mode...which means ending up with .VOB .BUP .IFO instead of an ISO image)

could somebody help me please.??? having same sort of problem. trying to use sony 500dru500a with nero but haing problems. also having trouble using record now dx that came with dvr rom. have backed up disks with rec now dx but majority fail. nero reconises writer as cdr and dvdr but locks up when i press start.

Nero shows my burner as: Pioneer DVR-104 DVD-RW

What does it register for you..?

Check NERO...NERO TOOLKIT...NERO INFO TOOL.

Usually Nero will say that these files are not properly supported 'BURN ANYWAY' so I'm thinking it might be more of a hardware problem that you have.
I run Norton Systemworks personally but have you checked lately that your PC is all in check..?

have tried different versions of nero. some dont even reconise burner.

have done speed checks etc. and all reconise drive sony dru500a. i have reinstalled several times and tried removing drive and starting from fresh.

this is realy bugging me becaus its only somethig stupid and a common problem. firmware is availible but there is no real description about what they do. they nearly all say the same thing.
