First I'd like to say im sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot. I didn't see a p2p discussion thread if there is one i must be blind ;p.

I am recently new to torrents. I am using bitcomet and trying to find a old tv movie, made by bbc discovery, supervolcano. I have searched all the sites that bitcomet has listed and I have only found 1 file that seems like it is the right one but there are only 2 sometimes 3 seeds available and when i download from them the speed is only 1kbps. I have read the guides and have properly configured portforwarding through my router and allowed the ports on xpsp2's firewall. I tested other files with more seeds and peers and i had great download/upload connections but when i do this file they all say local instead of remote connection. is it my connection or are they not properly configured.

Also was wondering how easy is it for some legal group to press charges against you using torrents? Is there anyway to be anonymous while using torrents. I don't mind sharing but don't feel like going to jail or paying $50,000 dollars for 5 kb's of a 1.36 gb file that i couldn't download. The tracker term has me nervous what exactly is that.

and if the torrent only has 2 or 3 seeds, 1kbs is the usual speed you'll get.

yeah i have peerguardian.

on bitcomet when you are in the transfer screen there is some things on bottom by peers, chat, logs etc, statistics is the main one im looking at, it shows the total amount of data that you have sent and recieved for every download. is there a way to reset this?

Also was wondering what manual connect does when you right click the torrent that you are downloading.

i've read the help and bitcomet forums and havn't come across these 2 things yet

yeah tried all of those, even though the site says it has seeds and leeachers when i open any of them, there are no seeds found except for 1 of the files but it is extremly slow dont' want to download hundreds of mb's with 1kbps.

mods sorry if we can't talk about this please delete if against rules.
