Ok, just got a new JAP region game that I bought from play-asia...and am trying Swap Magic 3.6 w/ slide tool for the first time. I'm following all of the proper steps to get my game to play, but I still end up getting a "please insert a psx or ps2 format disc" red screen or a line that says "Not a valid PS2 disc" shows up under the video mode in SM.

So...I don't see what I'm doing wrong. All the instructions/videos I've seen just show putting the boot disc in, pulling the tray out with the tool, replacing disc, push tray back in, lock tray, press x. So wtf.

What game is it? and what region are you in NTSC or PAL? and are you using the correct swap magic disc.. eg cd for cd game and dvd for dvd game... and it is a ps2 disc isn't it? I know it sounds funny, but have had someone on here before complianing that he couldn't get his disc to work.. and after a lot of messing about trying to work out the problem he finally says it's a ps1 game.. swap magic can't load ps1 games, for that you need "exploder" i think it is??

Anyway, get back to me with some more info and I'll try to help you out.
