k i always though directx was a hardware that u buy and put on ur motherboard. refcently my friend said it isn't and u just download it. so...
1. what does directx do?
2. what is the difference between directx, a graphics card, and a video card?
3. and where can you download directx9.0 for free?
please help this confused person. thanks in advance

it doesnt enhance ur cards, just ur experiance with the cards. Hope that makes sense.

kk thanks i downloaded it and theres like 20 files like .rar and .dll. what do i do? i know i have to unrar the .rar but dont know how to install. help?

there should be a file called setup.exe or maybe directx.exe something like that

so we ignore the .rar files. and also, i noticed somewhere else there is directx9.0 b and then theres a c. is the c the latest one?

just look for setup or directx (.exe) in the files, also c is the most uptodate directx out at the moment.

hi there i was looking for directx9 as i am loading nero 7 so i whent to microsoft as you recomended but they tell me i have a not got a valudation key fpr windows.
IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY I CAN OBTAIN IT ??????
