i want 2 first thank who ever looks and help me. i have just modded my lil brother xbox v 1.6 the right colors and and the flash bio screen comes up when i start the xbox. i want 2 know what do i need 2 do now 2 play the burnt games i have.i have downloaded a few games 2 try out but i know i have 2 do something else 2 the xbox 2 play the games just dont know what.im not trying 2 download from the computer 2 the xbox nor play online just want 2 play burnt games can anyone help with step by step or links? thankz

hi mate, first of all 10/10 for modding a v1.6 xbox and not knowing what to do next.
if all modded correctly you should have the blue flash bios screen dsplayed on your screen. you need to get youeself a bios (from the usual place) download the M8 bios for the v1.6 console. once downloaded you need to burn the bios to disc then follow the screen prompts on the xbox to load the bios from disc. once the bios id flashed all you need to do is install the dashboard of your choice, media centre, evox, unleashx etc... then away you go.... hope this helps.

what are you talking about if he flashes it with m8 all it will do is boot to the ms dash and not play anything, what you need to do is get the x3 bios on xbins then flash it with that

Well, X3 bios works perfectly for X3 modchip. But M8_1.6 still works on X3 modchip too. And it will load anything like X3 bios.

THANKZ FOR THE HELP I GOT THE XBOX 2 WORK PLAYS GAMES AND EVERYTHING BUT WAS WONDERING WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT HOLDING THE EJECT AND POWER 2 START FROM 256K BACKUP WHAT IS THAT FOR? HOW DO I SEE WHAT IS ON THE HARD DRIVE THAT IS IN THE EBOX? THANKZ

m8 works ill admit that but it sucks you cant change it in anyway and in order to boot you hacked dash you have to start renaming files and it takes alot more work, but with the x3 bios it has a config that lets you boot any dash and as many dashes tht you want with out renaming and you ban ftp strait to it so it makes installing files apps and dash boards alot easier than burning dvd all the time
