I recently started having a problem with WinAVI 7.1. Whenever I try to start the application, it gives me an error message that there was a problem and needs to shut down. I used this program many times and it only started happening recently. I figured I had a bad file so I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows. I still get the same message when I reinstalled the application however and I get the same error with other DVD conversion tools. Here is what my event viewer says:
