Editing menuX ini on multiple game discs

Is it possible to edit the MenuX ini files on mutiple game dvd's once copied onto the Xbox HD.

I have transfered the files from the DVD, but when you try and load the games from the HD menu it starts looking for the DVD in the D: Drive.

I can understand that the ini files will be set to point to the DVD. Can i edit the ini files on the Xbox HD to find the games there, or i am i better to start afresh and rewrite the menu with MediaXMenu.
