Error 13 questions w/ explination

Heres how it goes.

I hada spider chip in my xbox, long story short we manage to break the xbox it was in. (version 1.6 xbox)

I bought a refurbished box from gamestop (version 1.0 box) and took the harddrive and mod chip out of the old box to put in the new one.

I put the mod chip in, and it works. (well, kinda) and I put the hard drive in.

Now here comes the problems. When I turn it on with the mod chip on - I get the "xecuter" screen, like its loading my dashboard, then it pops to an error 13 code.

If I try and load it with the mod chip on and my boot disk that worked when I originally installed on the 1.6 box - I get an error 21.

In this process I've also gotten an error 06 - but I cant remember the exact circumstances in which this happened.

I've been reading through the forums about the errors, and all of the 13 trouble. I just cant seem to narrow down what exactly I need to do - Im sure there is someone out there who can put the sequence of events together in their brain and know what I need to do.

Keep in mind that I have not deleted or touched any files from the hdd when it was working on the other xbox.

-Update the dashboard using a new xbox game disc?
-Need to somehow get around the error 21 so the boot disk works and I can mess with the eeprom hdd lock/unlocker?

any help is very much appreciated.

well the bios flashed on the chip is probably a V1.6 Bios you need to reflash the chip....

I flashed the bios to put a 1.0-1.5 bios on using the Slayer2.6 auto installer.

Now I keep getting the error code 6, but because of the bios I used - the error code 6 pops up differently than before. Its a customized error code screen where it has "superfro" of xbox-scene.com's list of error code explinations.

ok put in auto installer deluxe 3 it should boot since u have a modchip.
go to tools-then config magic unlock and then lock the harddrive back to that motherboard and your problem will be fixed...

I now have the newest evox bios. Auto installer deluxe will only boot up when I have the original hdd in. It will not boot with my big hdd in. Slayer is not recognizing the big hdd either, but at least it will boot.


.. but it worked before we broke the other xbox, and I dont think I've done anything to it.

the system should boot the AID 3 Disc i dont know why it wont did u put this 5035 xecuter 2 bios on your chip????i have it if you need it it should boot the disc.....
