Hi, is it possible that the message is ecc error DIMM_1? If so,I would say it's more then likely a memory problem. How many memory sticks are installed?

From what I can tell it sounds like a memory problem.Try taking out the all the sticks and reinstall them one at a time, continue to do so until you find the bad one.

Well if thats the case all I can suggest is that you remove them and try cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser and make sure they are seated properly when reinserted.

On the ram sticks there are gold colored contacts that make the connection inside the slots they are inserted in.Over time they may get dirty and may need cleaning. If you remove one you will see what I mean, remember to slide back (away from center) the two locking tabs before attempting to remove them.

Thanks for your help, but that didn't do it. Might just have to go buy new memory sticks.
