Basic is limited to two passes and some other small differences,
Nothing major I dont think.
And it conly costs around 60 for the basic,
It works much better than DVD shrink quality wise.
I would like to have the sp version,
I just gotta work on hitting the lottery first.
CCE Basic is a Great encoder at an affordable price.
Possunt Quia Posse Videntur.

I've been using DVD Rebuilder Pro + CCE SP and so far so good. Never tried CCE Basic, but I've heard that Pro is much faster than Basic and or any other encoders out there.

Alkohol, I've been doing some reading on Dvd Rebuilder and figured I'd give it a try. How much is the pro version of this and how much is CCE SP? From what I've been reading it sounds like it is needed for quicker results with Dvd Rebuilder? Or am I interpreting things wrong?

i use HC which is as good as or very close to CCE but slower. i get around the speed by being a main movie only guy. oh, i forgot, HC is free.
Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

@beltline
I have no regret of purchasing (or donating to) DVD-RB Pro. It is only $30.00 US and yes... it is worth every pennies, if you'd asked me. I GUARANTEE that you won't be disappointed. With only $30, you get every new updates versions available mail directly to you via your email address FREE UPDATES FOR LIFE and you won't have to worry about any of it's future release/updates whatsoever.
In regards to CCE SP, it is one of the best and fastest encoder out there that you can find. However, it's retail is "not a joke" though man, it cost $2K. So I really have no comment here, all I can say is, it's a must have, especially with DVD-RB Pro. That being said, use your "knowledge" plus "hard earned money" and I'm sure you'll get my drift. Detailing is useless, so let's scrap the subject and continue on with alternative encoders.
You can try other free encoders like HC. To be honest, I've never used HC, but I've been hearing a lot of memebers said that if you have the right settings and times is not an issue for you, then it is as great as CCE SP. Some even says that CCE SP and HC produces equally quality in results. However, that is definitely in the eyes of the beholder.
Best of lucks to you buddy.

Nevermind. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. Things seem to work themselves out. I'm trying again now.

Okay, I trust you - I just purchased it. Email came almost immediately with the download link. Bad thing is that computer isn't hooked up to the internet and it sounds like it has to be according to the email. Guess I'll have to hook that baby up.
I'm going to test the pro version tonight and let you know what I think.
