Since I have the nVidia card and driver for which the update in Nero 7.0.5.5 is appropriate, I downloaded and installed the file. One change I noted is that InCD has disappeared: it does not appear either in the installer or in the program setup option, and it cannot be retained from 7.0.5.4, since 7.0.5.5 will not instal over that version. Have Nero finally decided to take this program back to the drawing board???
Out of curiosity, why would you want InCD? InCD is well known to always conflict with Nero all the times. Seriously, I've never ever installed that piece of junk.
However, the choice is yours. The latest 7.0.8.2 from Nero 7 does have InCD, if you're interested.

Yep, I agree. InCD is just a waste of space. By the way, I've just updated to Nero 7.0.8.2 (without installing InCD) and so far, everything seems to be running smoothly.

I haven't been on AD for awhile so I've kinda lost the drift of things but the ongoing conflict about InCD seems to still be around. Personally I think the idea if great, in fact it's a fabulous idea to have a DVD burning app where the idea is just a simple copy and paste in Windows Explorer.
The down side is that Nero never could get it ironed out. I've always liked the idea though, even used it for a longer period of time than most, making more coasters than most probably.
But think about it, a simple DVD burning application where you could use Windows Explorer and just drag a file on a hard-drive or another DVD or a CD for that matter, and copy/paste/burn it to another location! It's a darn great idea, I truly wish Nero would have made it work.
That's my Penney's worth about InCD. Please don't flame or attack me, I'm really a nice guy. I just have a soft spot in my heart for applications that could and would prove useful if they worked!
Thanks for listening or reading, whichever you're doing, besides throwing up!
Invest in and use DVD+-RW disks as you burn and learn.
Use high quality media after you understand the process.
Try to have fun learning to Rip & Burn and not get to frustrated.
Remember that the Addicts and Moderators werent born with those titles, they earned em! Theyre good people to hang out with and learn from.
